The court in The Hague will begin hearing the case regarding the genocide of Ukrainians by Russia in the fall – Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Agent of Ukraine at the UN International Court of Justice, ambassador on special assignment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anton Korynevych, said that the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague will begin hearing the merits of the case accusing Russia of genocide against Ukrainians in the fall.
– We submitted a memorandum, we did it on July 1. This means that the Russian Federation has three months to file, if it has any, its objections to the court’s jurisdiction over the case. Then the court can proceed to consider the merits of the case, – said the ambassador on special assignments Korynevych.
We will remind you that on July 1, Ukraine submitted a Memorandum to the International Court of Justice of the United Nations. It concerns the case against the Russian Federation under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
