The Russian Federation threatens to deport pro-Ukrainian residents of Melitopol – Fedorov

Мер Мелітополя Іван Федоров

The Russian occupation regime in Melitopol is going to deport residents who support Ukraine, speak Ukrainian or have at least something Ukrainian, the mayor of the city, Ivan Fedorov, said on the telethon.

According to him, for this, the occupiers are collecting data on pro-Ukrainian citizens.

– They want to deport us from our homes because we are Ukrainians. I hope that it will be in the direction of Ukraine. So we will be able to support our citizens. But it is quite difficult to pass through the checkpoints to the unoccupied territory. Today we have a flurry of calls, because the queue, again more than 500 people are standing on Vasylivka. Racists are not releasing people again, – Fedorov emphasized.

However, it is currently unknown where exactly the occupiers plan to deport people.

The mayor of Melitopol also reported that the Russians have started preparations for the pseudo-referendum. To do this, they collect data in a very strange way – they completely cover a certain microdistrict and go to each apartment with a questionnaire.

– They ask how many of you live here, who are your relatives, what kind of property do you have, what kind of cars do you have, how do you feel about the Rashists, how do you feel about Ukraine, – he clarified.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced in the GUR that the Russian Federation is preparing to hold so-called referendums on the temporarily occupied territories in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions on September 11.
