Smoke at the airfield and destroyed railroad: consequences of the night explosions in Melitopol

At approximately 1 a.m. on July 24, explosions broke out in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region.

Updated at 11:22 a.m. According to Melitopol city head Ivan Fedorov, loud sounds were heard simultaneously in three places.

– In Melitopol and near the city it was another hellish night for the Rushists,” Ivan Fedorov noted.

Thus, smoke was rising at the Melitopol airfield, which the occupiers were unsuccessfully trying to restore after attacks by the AFU.

Explosions were heard to the east of the city – near the village of Konstantynivka.

In addition, the railway infrastructure in the Melitopol district, used by the Russians to transport military equipment and personnel in the direction of Vasylivka and Tokmak, was damaged.

– This significantly complicates the enemy’s logistics. We hope for a surprise for the Rashists from the resistance movement and are waiting for confirmation of the information,” said the city head of Melitopol.
