Russian occupiers allegedly published a list of names of Ukrainian prisoners of war who died during a terrorist attack in Olenivka (Donetsk region). The Azov Regiment is currently verifying this data.

The Azov Regiment’s patronage service stressed that they could neither confirm nor deny them for the time being.

– The occupiers posted a list of the names of those wounded and killed due to terrorist actions in Olenivka. We inform: for the time being, we – Azov’s Patronage Service – cannot confirm or deny these reports and are checking them for accuracy,” – the statement reads.

The Patronage Service clarified that it informs the names of the soldiers wounded and killed in Olenivka to their relatives individually.

– No Ukrainian or international institution can confirm or deny the lists posted in the Russian media,” the statement said.

The day before, the Azov Patronage Service reported that they were ascertaining the names of the dead and injured through their channels. In addition, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross went to the site of the terrorist attack committed by the occupiers in Olenivka.

The Patriot Service warned Ukrainians that any information that appears on Russian Telegram channels and media is a special psychological operation of the Rashists, so one should expect official and verified data from the Ukrainian side.

As we know, the Russian army insidiously killed Ukrainian prisoners of war in a former penal colony in occupied Olenivka (Donetsk Region). This happened on the night of July 29. Among the prisoners were fighters of the Azov regiment.

There is no exact data on the number of dead and wounded yet. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported about 40 dead and 130 wounded servicemen.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported more than 50 dead.

The Russian aggressor country traditionally blamed Ukraine for the attack. At the same time, the Security Service of Ukraine released evidence that Russian occupiers committed the attack on the prisoners of war.
