The occupiers did not allow the Red Cross to the place of death of prisoners in Olenivka

The Russian invaders have denied the international humanitarian movement Red Cross access to the colony in Olenivka, where Ukrainian prisoners were killed.
The agency’s press service reported this. They condemned the killing of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
– We strongly condemn the recent attack on the colony for prisoners of war in Olenivka. Too many lives have been lost and families destroyed in the armed conflict in Ukraine, – the Red Cross noted.
The organization immediately requested access to Olenivka and the prisoners of war with an offer to provide medical care to the wounded, support the evacuation of the seriously injured to nearby medical facilities and provide resources to identify the dead.
– We stand ready to support the return and handover of remains. We are continuing our work to bring news to the families who have lost contact with loved ones during this conflict,” they said.
To be clear, our request to access the prisoners of war from the Olenivka penal facility yesterday has not been granted.
Granting ICRC access to POWs is an obligation of parties to conflict under the Geneva Conventions.

However, the occupiers denied the Red Cross, despite the fact that granting ICRC access to prisoners of war is an obligation of the parties to the conflict under the Geneva Conventions.
The press office added that they would continue to seek access to these prisoners of war and all prisoners of war in this international armed conflict.
Recall that on the night of July 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense said they invited experts, specialists from the UN, and the Red Cross to the site of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, the Donetsk region.
