A meeting of ombudsmen of Ukraine and Russia may take place in Olenivka

A meeting of the ombudsmen of Ukraine and Russia is possible in the occupied Olenivka of the Donetsk region, where the prisoners of war died.
Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets announced this on the air of the national telethon.
He noted that the Russians are considering his request to visit Olenivka and communicate with wounded Ukrainian prisoners. However, Lubinets does not expect to receive an answer in the coming days.
– Despite the Russian Federation’s statement that they allegedly granted access to the site of the tragedy in Olenivka to representatives of the ICRC and representatives of the UN monitoring mission, today I received an answer from the International Committee of the Red Cross that no, they were not granted such access, – said the ombudsman.
According to Lubinets, he received a signal that the Russian Federation is ready to return the bodies of Ukrainian heroes, but “after the end of the investigation.”
– To clarify – how much time is needed for the investigation – we have not yet received an answer. We are waiting, he added.
