The active phase of the war must be completed before the beginning of winter – Yermak

It is vital for Ukraine to end the active phase of the war before the onset of winter, as there is a risk of Russian strikes on the thermal energy infrastructure.

This was stated by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.

– Of course, such risks (attacks on thermal power facilities, – Ed.) persist throughout the war. The Russian army continues to attack the objects of our infrastructure. This is one of their goals, they don’t even hide it. So that’s one of the reasons why we want to take maximum measures to end the active part of the war by the end of the autumn.

He also added that this is a difficult and ambitious task, but vitally necessary.

According to him, Ukraine is doing everything possible to achieve the goals of de-occupation and informs its partners about it. The longer the Russian military stays on the territory of Ukraine and tries to “dig in”, the more difficult it will be to liberate these territories.
