The Russian Federation storms Pisky for security on the M04 highway – British intelligence

By storming the village of Pisky district near the Donetsk airport, the Russian army aims to secure the M04 highway, the main entrance to Donetsk from the west.
The intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reported this in its daily summary on August 14.
The Russian Federation mainly involves fighters from the so-called DPR fighting in this territory of Donbas, which has been on the demarcation line since 2014.
During the past day, the Russian invaders had to retreat after a failed assault in the direction of Krasnohorivka and Piski in the Avdiiv direction.
The Ministry of Defence adds: that while the occupation forces were trying to storm north of Donetsk, the rest of the units were reorienting themselves to strengthen the South of Ukraine.

As a reminder, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War suggested that by attacking near Seversk and advancing toward Bakhmut, the Russian military seeks to shift tactical and rhetorical attention away from the South to relieve pressure on its forces on the southern axis.
