In Melitopol, the occupiers are not ready to hold a pseudo-referendum even on September 11 – Fedorov

Мелітополь

The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported that the occupants continue to prepare for a pseudo-referendum, but once again, their plans change.

– If earlier they wanted to hold a pseudo-referendum at the end of August, they do not see how to keep it even on September 11. Today, they are not talking about a single day of the referendum,- says Fedorov.

There are several reasons for the changes. The first and main one is the low turnout and activity of the residents in the fake referendum.

– Therefore, they have reformatted and want to do it in a social survey – from September 11 to 17, and then sum up the results, – says the mayor.

He also noted that the Russian military began to hand out instructions for agitators, which are made in Crimea and have some subtleties.

Watching now

– In the propaganda group, which will go, must be a resident of Crimea, who lived in Crimea before 2014 and is fluent in the Ukrainian language. By doing so, they are trying to say that no one wants to crush the Ukrainian population. But we understand this is just another propaganda portion,- Fedorov said.

In addition, he reported the latest data on the sentiments of the city’s residents – less than 10 percent of the people support Russia.

– They also want to open polling stations in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions in Russia. We understand that this is done to make it easier to falsify the results. They want to do this and claim 110 percent support Russia,- Fedorov said.
