Ukrainian defenders are advancing in the Kharkiv region to the north. There are 50 km to go to the state border.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerіі Zaluzhnyi.
– The armed forces of Ukraine continue to liberate territories occupied by Russia. Since the beginning of September, more than 3,000 sq. km returned to the control of Ukraine, – he noted.
According to him, in the Kharkiv direction, we began to advance not only to the south and east, but also to the north. The Ukrainian military has already liberated the villages of Bayrak, Nova Husarivka, Shchurivka and Vilkhuvatka.
– The capture of the powerful strongholds of the Russian troops, which they proudly named “Moscow”, “Omsk” and “Peter”, made it possible to launch a counteroffensive on Balaklia, Izyum and Kupіyansk, – explained Zaluzhnyі.
It will be recalled that the ISW reported that Ukraine liberated more territory in a few days than Russia captured since April.
