Zaporizhzhya NPP repaired high-voltage line after Russian shelling

Ukrainian specialists repaired the communication line of the Zaporizhzhya NPP with the Ukrainian power system, which was unlocked as a result of Russian shelling.
As reported by NAEC Energoatom, the radiation background at the site of the ZNPP and the surrounding area did not change and is within normal limits.
– After almost two days of operation of the emergency cooling pumps of the active zones of the NPP reactors with power from diesel generators, the operational staff restores the normal scheme of powering the plant’s own needs from the energy system of Ukraine – the message says.
We will remind that the ZNPP was completely de-energized because, on the night of October 8, the occupiers fired another attack on the territory of the nuclear power plant.
They damaged the last communication line with the power system of the 750 kV power plant of Dniprovska.
Because of this, the plant’s operation depended on diesel generators, which provided electricity for reactor cooling and other critical nuclear safety functions.
