33 times just today: Shmyhal named the number of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal claims that during the day, Russia shelled Ukraine’s energy infrastructure 33 times.
This is stated in a message published on his Telegram channel.
– Russia does not stop in its attempts to destroy our energy infrastructure. According to the State Emergency Service, 33 shellings have already been recorded this day. The enemy continues to spend dozens of missiles at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars so that Ukrainians will be without electricity for a day or two. But we are united and we will stand, – he said.
According to Shmyhal, during yesterday’s shelling, power was cut off in 3,900 settlements, but energy workers and rescuers have already managed to restore electricity in most regions.
– Electricity has returned to 3,800 settlements. The supply of electricity in the western regions has been stabilized, Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region have been almost completely restored. Restoration work to ensure energy supply to the central regions and Kyiv continues. They are planned to be completed within a few days, – he said.
The Prime Minister once again appealed to Ukrainians to limit electricity consumption during peak hours.
– From 17:00 to 23:00 please do not turn on energy-intensive appliances: electric stoves, electric kettles, electric tools, heaters and air conditioners, ovens and irons, microwave ovens, coffee makers, washing machines and dishwashers. This is very important for the stable operation of our energy system, – he said.
According to Shmyhal, yesterday Ukrainians voluntarily reduced consumption by an average of 10%.
He added that due to the need to restore damaged critical infrastructure, a power outage schedule is in place in some regions.
– It is important to understand that such consumption restrictions are not related to a power shortage in the power system, but only to the need for restoration work. Currently, there is no need for either emergency aid from European countries or import of electricity. We have such an opportunity if needed, – Shmyhal said.
