More missiles should have been launched into Ukraine: the Russians partially sabotaged the missile launches
The Russians have been preparing for a massive missile attack on Ukraine for a long time, more than a month.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, stated this on the air of the national telethon.
Yesterday, October 10, rockets were launched at Ukraine from the Black and Caspian seas, from the territory of the Russian Federation. Kamikaze drones were launched from the territory of Belarus and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to him, the Russian Federation tried to intimidate the Ukrainian people with its mass shelling, but the attempt turned out to be unsuccessful despite numerous victims.
– The preparation took place for quite a long time, but the final decision was made by the Russian leadership from October 9 to 10. We should all understand that this was not a military operation, but a terrorist act – a political act of intimidation of the civilian population and an attempt to intimidate our international allies and partners, Yusov said.
The representative of the GUR emphasized that the military infrastructure suffered the least yesterday, and the civil and energy infrastructure the most. And this is a sign of terror and terrorism.
Andrii Yusov noted the rather good work of the Ukrainian air defense, given that its basis is still of the Soviet model.
– More than 60% of air targets were hit, intelligence provided early warning. Air defense, the police, the State Emergency Service, and the power industry worked effectively, Yusov emphasized.
He stated that Russia will not be able to launch such massive missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. The Russian Federation does not currently have the ability to produce high-precision missiles in large quantities.
According to him, part of the Russian military leadership was against yesterday’s missile attack, because it is a senseless waste of ammunition.
– The Russians announced 150 launches over Ukraine. But the question is where are the rest (currently it is known about the launch of 84 missiles). It is known that individual Russian soldiers contacted Ukraine, passed on information and said: We cannot stop it completely, but some of the missiles will simply not be launched there.
