SSU confirms detention of President of Motor Sich Boguslayev on suspicion of working for the Russian Federation
The SSU has confirmed the detention of the president of Motor Sich JSC, Vyacheslav Boguslayev, and the head of the foreign economic activity department of this company.

Both announced suspicion on two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – article 111-1 (collaborative activity) and article 111-2 (aiding an aggressor state).
The case concerns the illegal supplies of military goods for the Russian assault aircraft by Motor Sich.
The investigation established that the management of the plant located in Zaporizhzhia was involved in the deal and that it was in collaboration with representatives of Rostec Corporation close to the Kremlin.
– The perpetrators established international channels for illegal deliveries of wholesale shipments of Ukrainian aircraft engines to the aggressor country. The occupiers used the obtained products to produce and repair Russian attack helicopters such as Mi-8AMTSH-VN Sapsan, KA-52 Alligator, and Mi-28N Night Hunter, – the SSU said.
The organizers of the scheme, through controlled companies in three countries in the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia, made the so-called order allegedly for the needs of a foreign party and sent them to Russia after receiving the engines from Ukraine.
Currently, all the organizers of the transactions have been established, and comprehensive measures are being taken to bring them to justice.

According to Ukrainian media, Boguslayev was detained on October 22 and is now being transported to Kyiv.
According to Ukrainian Pravda’s sources, former People’s Deputy Boguslayev is suspected of collaborationism and aiding and abetting the aggressor state.
According to other sources, the former owner of Motor Sich is suspected of high treason.
According to the Glavkom newspaper, Boguslayev faces life imprisonment.
Before that, according to the media, the former deputy was searched, during which “there were some nuances.
– Boguslayev refused to open the doors, and they were opened with the help of special equipment. According to the information available, Boguslayev’s entourage is not answering the phone. Investigative actions are underway. And, according to preliminary information, searches were carried out not only at the chairman of the board, – Glavkom writes.
There has been no official confirmation from law enforcers yet.
Vyacheslav Boguslayev is 83 years old. He was a Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine member during the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th convocations. During the first three convocations, he was a member of the Party of Regions faction, and during the eighth convocation, he was a member of the Will of the People group.
