Russia prepares provocation: DIU warns of possible shelling of settlements in Kherson region
Russian occupation troops are preparing a provocation in Kherson region. They may shell localities in the coming days to blame it on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was informed by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
– There is a high probability of provocative shelling of residential areas in the coming days to accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces, – the DIU stressed.
According to the intelligence, the occupants are sending relevant SMS messages to the residents of the temporarily occupied territories who use mobile communications of Russian operators. These messages say that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is allegedly planning a massive artillery shelling of civilian infrastructure.
Under this pretext, the racists call on people to “evacuate” to the left bank of the Dnipro.
The GUR clarified that the occupiers are going to extend the curfew to secretly bring new forces to the right bank.
In addition, Russian troops are engaged in mass looting on the right bank of Kherson region. According to the intelligence, mixed columns of Russian equipment have been moving from the right to the left bank of the Dnipro river for three days. They are moving through Kakhovka hydroelectric power station from the direction of Kozatske village towards Tsukury village.
– Most of the vehicles are tented trucks and civilian vehicles packed with looted property. In addition to household appliances, the occupants are taking out plastic double-glazed windows on a massive scale,” the GUR specified.
For example, in Beryslav district racists rob private houses, warehouses and shops. All property of the local substation of the district power grid was stolen: devices, equipment, cars, etc.
And in the village of Lyubymivka, Putin’s soldiers are massively taking away vehicles (trucks, cars, buses). They also looted local car parks and service stations.
The occupants took all the documentation from the local councils in the settlements located along the Dnipro River, and arranged so-called commandant’s offices in the premises.
In the villages of Olhivka and Tokarivka, the racists blew up mobile communication towers of Ukrainian operators.
Recently, the Russian tricolor disappeared from the building of Kherson Regional Military Administration. As explained in the JFO South, this is part of the large-scale provocations of the occupiers: the enemy wants to create the impression that the settlements are abandoned, and the Armed Forces are safe in them.
