The Russian Federation will continue to strike critical infrastructure facilities in the fall and winter – Yuriy Ignat
The occupiers want to attack critical infrastructure objects in the autumn-winter period, because they have no obvious success at the front. Currently, the main goal of the Russian Federation is to destroy critical infrastructure.
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
The Russian invaders understand that our vital activity depends on critical infrastructure, so they will continue this aerial terrorism.
They need to achieve the goal – strikes on the entire critical infrastructure. It’s not only energy, because the enemy has already struck at hydraulic structures.
According to Yuriy Ignat, the Russians are using Iranian Shahed-136 drones, as well as self-made Lancet drones with imported spare parts, to launch strikes.
– If they receive missiles from Iran, they will also be used against energy infrastructure facilities. They will continue to strike with cruise missiles. As of today, the Russians have brought ships carrying Kalibr cruise missiles into the waters of the Black Sea, – emphasized the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yuriy Ignat reminded that the skill of our armed forces is improving, because the last time it was possible to destroy 44 out of 55 missiles. However, we do not have the means to destroy ballistic missiles flying from the stratosphere.
