Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and then – Zaporizhzhia: the Armed Forces of Ukraine named the following targets of the Russians
After high-profile defeats near Kyiv, on the Kharkiv, Lyman, and Kherson directions, the Russian army can only hope for minor tactical “successes”.
The spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevatiy, talked about the enemy’s further plans and the situation at the front during the telethon.
– Since throughout the war and even earlier, one of the narratives of Russian propaganda was the “liberation of the people of Donbas”, it is clear that they want to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Therefore, if they reached these borders, they would continue to want to seize the entire Zaporizhzhia region,- he explained.
Cherevatiy emphasized that Ukrainian defenders would do everything possible to disrupt the plans of the occupiers. As of today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Luhansk region have driven the enemy out of 12 settlements.
– In many respects, the initiative is ours. The enemy is trying to defend rather than counterattack, – the serviceman said.
