The Armed Forces are preparing to continue the offensive in winter and take advantage of the frozen ground for advancing – ISW

Analysts at the ISW Institute for the Study of War suggest that Ukraine’s ability to maintain its superiority and continue its operational successes depends on whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue consecutive winter operations.
Ukrainian officials said the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to continue offensive operations through the winter to consolidate recent battlefield gains and prevent Russian forces from seizing the initiative on the battlefield.
In turn, American intelligence predicts that “the tempo of the war in Ukraine will slow down during the winter.”
According to ISW analysts, Ukraine’s ability to maintain the military initiative and continue the momentum of current operational successes depends on whether Ukrainian forces continue to conduct consistent operations throughout this winter.
Experts also suggest that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are probably preparing to take advantage of the frozen ground to facilitate advancement compared to the mud movement inherent in the autumn months.
