Almost 13 million Ukrainians have become refugees due to the war – Lubinets

Almost 8 million Ukrainians (20% of the actual population of the country) went abroad and almost 5 million citizens have become displaced within their own country.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported this in his report.
– Unfortunately, we note that 4 million 900 thousand citizens of Ukraine have become internally displaced persons within our state. 30% of them are pensioners and people with disabilities, – Lubinets said.
In addition, almost 8 million Ukrainians found refuge from the war abroad.
– 7 million 900 thousand people left the country. This is 20% of the actual population of our entire state, – he emphasized.
The Ombudsman added that 13 million Ukrainians are forced to live in temporarily occupied territories or in the area of hostilities, and 46,000 citizens were forcibly deported to Russia.
