Putin is obsessed with revenge: Zelenskyy on the probability of a new offensive by the Russian Federation in 2023
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is fully aware of the potential possibility of a new offensive by Russia in 2023.
The head of state said this in an interview with the TV channel TF1 INFO.
According to Zelenskyy, Putin is obsessed with revenge and for him the desire to take revenge is an obsessive idea. But the question is whether they are capable of a new attack.
– We are perfectly aware of this. We can understand the desire of the Russians to take revenge, it remains their obsessive idea, their desire to attack our country, occupy our territory. They never gave up on it. But the question is, are they capable of it? And can we cope with it? – Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine is sure that Putin does not want peace at all and there is no point in negotiating with Russia.
– I am not sure that he is ready to draw conclusions from the tragedy he caused to Ukraine, to the world, but first of all to his society, his country. There is a form of irreversibility in what he did. I know that some offer to sit down with him at the negotiating table, but I don’t see anything to agree on, – said Zelenskyy.
Earlier, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Burns, said that the Kremlin is currently not in the mood for real peace talks.
