De-occupation of Kreminna may be key to liberating Donbas industrial centers – NYT

Fierce fighting continues around Kreminna, Luhansk region, as the liberation of this town could become a gateway for the de-occupation of other industrial centers in the east of the country.
– Kreminna is the gateway to two much larger cities nearby – Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. These are important industrial centers of Donbas that fell to Russia after a grueling and costly summer campaign,” The New York Times said.
It is noted that the return of the city and other nearby settlements will expand the positions of the Ukrainian military in the region and give them control over the main roads leading to Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.
Earlier, the head of the Joint Forces Operation Serhiy Haidai said that heavy fighting is taking place near Kreminna in Luhansk region, the enemy is massing a huge number of reserves and equipment there.
