On December 29, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion against the mayor of Poltava for spreading information about the Ukrainian military.
The mayor of Poltava was charged with the article on the unauthorized dissemination of information on the transfer of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine or on the deployment of the Armed Forces under martial law.
According to the investigation, Mamai disseminated data that was not made publicly available by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, or other authorized state bodies.

The investigation is being conducted by the Poltava Department of the Security Service of Ukraine. The mayor faces up to 12 years in prison.
