Petro Kotin, head of Energoatom, reported that Ukraine has asked the United Nations to send peacekeepers to protect the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant without Russia’s agreement.

– So far, there is no progress in the efforts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to create a protective zone around the nuclear plant. We propose to go one step further, – Bild quotes Kotin.

The leader added that the relevant appeal has already been sent to the UN.

We will remind you that since last September, Ukraine has been calling on the UN to send peacekeepers to the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
