Russians’ words about peace talks are nonsense – Kuleba

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the statements of the Russian side about the alleged “readiness for negotiations” with Ukraine are all nonsense. He stressed that neither Kyiv nor our partners will fall for it.
– It is all nonsense, everything they say. We’re not buying it and, more importantly, we’re glad to see that more and more countries are not buying it either,” the minister said in an interview with CBC News.
At the same time, he commented on the recent Russian attack on Dnipro, stressing that this will not make Ukrainians surrender.
– “You cannot just raise your hands and say: that’s it, we surrender, because you are hitting residential buildings, killing fathers, mothers, children, spreading terror. If we do this, it will only get worse, – Dmytro Kuleba said.
He also answered the journalist’s question about whether Ukraine will ask Canada to provide Leopard 2 tanks.
– “We certainly expect Canada to join this international tank coalition for Ukraine,” the minister concluded.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that it offers direct negotiations with Ukraine without intermediaries.
Before that, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of unwillingness to negotiate peace to end the war.
Ukraine and Russia are not currently holding any negotiations except for those related to the exchange of prisoners. However, the Kremlin often speaks about “dialogue”, while putting forward its demands.
