Who will head the Ministry of Internal Affairs after the death of Monastyrskyi as a result of the plane crash in Brovary

The new Minister of Internal Affairs will be elected after the approval of the respective candidacy by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement and voting by the People’s Deputies.

One of the deputies of Denys Monastyrskyi, who died as a result of the plane crash in Brovary, will temporarily perform the duties of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He will be appointed today at an extraordinary meeting of the government, said the press secretary of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal Tamara Huseynova.

Monastyrskyi has five deputies left. Among them are Bohdan Drapyaty, Mary Hakobyan, Serhiy Goncharov, Kateryna Pavlichenko and Ihor Bondarenko.

According to the deputy head of the OP Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine works as usual and continues to ensure security in the cities and on the defense lines of our country.

We will remind that on the morning of January 18, a helicopter fell on the territory of a kindergarten in Brovary, Kyiv region. As a result of the disaster, 16 people died, including three children.

On board the helicopter was the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhen Yenin and State Secretary Yuriy Lubkovich. They all died.
