In Zaporozhzhia, the occupiers do not have the opportunity to conduct a full-scale offensive – headquarters
In the Zaporozhzhia direction, the Russian invaders are operating in small groups, in some places they tried to advance, but our Defense Forces stopped the invaders.
Colonel Yevhen Yerin, head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, announced this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the past day and night passed without significant changes, there were no active actions, the enemy continues to strengthen its lines and defensive positions.
The enemy is trying to act in small groups – this shows that they want to surround and chain our units so that the Armed Forces do not have the opportunity to transfer additional forces and equipment there.
– Currently, the occupying army cannot conduct full-scale offensive actions in the Zaporizhzhia direction. However, this possibility remains if they begin to increase with equipment, ammunition, etc. The defense forces of Ukraine control this process, we do not allow the enemy to concentrate significant reserves near their positions, – Yevhen Yerin emphasized.
He also said that the enemy continues to destroy civilian infrastructure with artillery fire from Grads and Hurricanes, which were heard at night in Nikopol region of Dnipropetrovsk region (near the border with Zaporizhzhia region). Yes, the occupiers are trying to oppress people living in the front-line zone.
As for the possibility of people leaving the occupied settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region to the territory controlled by Ukraine, it is currently impossible to do this through the city of Vasylivka. The occupiers are intensifying checks of people’s documents and phones.
In general, the Russian Federation is trying to strengthen its units with fresh manpower, transfer more equipment, but all these efforts are under fire control of the Armed Forces, so the enemy has no radical changes or advantages, concluded Yevhen Yerin.
