The deficit in the energy system is still significant, consumption limits have been established for all regions – Ukrenergo

On Sunday, January 29, the power deficit in the power system is still significant.
Ukrenergo reported this.
The deficit is due to Russian attacks that damaged power plants (generating capacities) and the high-voltage grid. Also, one of the TPP units was taken out of service for technical reasons, and the electricity generated in the system decreased.
– All regional power distribution companies have been informed of slightly reduced consumption limits that are valid throughout the day. As a reminder, each regional power distribution company in its region draws up schedules of planned hourly outages, which should ensure the consumption of the region at the level of the proven limit,” the statement said.
It is noted that emergency blackouts continue to operate in the Odesa region. The planned power supply scheme for the region is being restored after the Russian attack on January 26.
Ukraine’s power system has survived 13 missile attacks and 15 UAV strikes on power facilities. In addition, more than 10 GW of the main installed capacities are currently inaccessible to the Ukrainian power system and are under the control of the Russian Federation.
