According to the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylо Budanov, Russia will soon be forced to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with Le Monde.
According to him, this will be facilitated both by the pressure of the Ukrainian army and diplomacy, and by internal political processes in Russia.
– The Russians had the opportunity to calmly get out of the situation they created. They did not want to stop. They chose the path of escalation. This creates problems for them, – Budanov said.
In his opinion, Ukraine is approaching the end of the war, which is possible only with the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine to its internationally recognized borders of 1991.
– Any other option is unacceptable for us. Any territorial concession could only lead to a new conflict in the future, – Kyrylo Budanov emphasized.
