On February 2, it was reported that a “Ukrainian subversive group” had allegedly entered the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation and taken hostages in the village of Sushany, and that a battle was underway.
At the same time, the Telegram channel of the Russian Volunteer Corps published a video message with fighters wearing yellow ribbons, who said that they “did not come as a DRG” but called on Russians to “fight the Putin regime.”

Military expert Oleksa Rudenko does not rule out the possibility of an ISIS.
– “It is also true that the Russians will constantly claim that they have ‘Ukrainian subversive groups’ everywhere. All options are possible, there is no firmly established version that would go against the information that is available. There is some information, it is quite possible that this is an information throw-in, and it is also possible that it is a reality that we do not fully realize,” the military expert said.
At the same time, he does not believe in the existence of “good Russians.”
– “I am not sure that there is a movement developing in the rear of the Russian Federation that will allegedly take actions to overthrow the Putin regime. I just don’t believe it, because I can imagine how they think. It’s hard for me, for example, to imagine that they have some kind of developed anti-government or anti-Putin movement. That’s why I don’t believe that it was done by some “good Russians” who took up arms and are fighting against their own government,” he says.
The Office of the President of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deny any involvement in this provocation.
