Denmark to create $1 billion fund to help Ukraine: what will the money go for

In 2023, Denmark will create a fund of 7 billion Danish kroner ($1.01 billion) for military, civilian and business assistance to Ukraine.
This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Denmark.
– The situation in Ukraine is extremely serious and there is an urgent need for significant support. Ukraine’s struggle for freedom is a struggle for democratic values and society. Therefore, the government has joined forces with the overwhelming majority in the Danish parliament to create a fund of about DKK 7 billion in 2023,” the statement said.
The fund will consist of three parts. About DKK 5.4 billion will be allocated for military support in the form of weapons, equipment and personnel training.
Another 1.2 billion will be spent on civilian assistance, addressing acute humanitarian problems. And 0.4 billion Danish kroner will be allocated for the efforts of Danish companies to restore Ukraine.
Commenting on the event, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lekke Rasmussen said that “Ukrainians are fighting not only for their own freedom, but also for the security of the whole of Europe.”
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already thanked Denmark for establishing the Ukraine Support Fund, noting that such assistance is a key to a common victory.
Sincerely grateful to ???????? @folketinget, PM @Statsmin and Government for establishing ???????? Support Fund. More than $1 billion in military, humanitarian & economic aid to Ukraine is a guarantee of bringing our common victory over the aggressor and the return of peace to Europe closer!
