The occupiers are trying to create the impression of an offensive on Zaporizhzhia in order to divert the attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Naev
The Russian army has concentrated its offensive actions in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, but the occupiers are trying to create the impression of preparations for an offensive in other directions, in particular in Zaporizhzhia, in order to divert the attention of the Ukrainian defenders.
Such a statement was made by the commander of the United Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Serhiy Naev.
– In view of the fact that the enemy has concentrated its efforts to develop the offensive in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, there are not enough forces and means to conduct offensive actions in other operational directions.
However, the Russians are trying to create the impression that they are preparing offensive actions on other operational lines, primarily on Zaporizhzhia, to divert the attention of our military command, – he said.
The commander noted that today the enemy is not ready to conduct offensive actions in the northern direction as well. But the Armed Forces foresee all possible scenarios of the development of the situation.
Earlier, we said that Russia will not stop trying to seize the entire territory of Ukraine, however, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to make efforts to restrain the further advance of the invaders, causing them maximum losses in manpower and equipment.
