Russian troops do not stop trying to surround Bakhmut-Syrskyi

The Bakhmut direction remains a priority for the occupying forces of the Russian Federation, the enemy does not stop trying to surround and capture the city, said the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

– Thanks to the heroism and professionalism of our military, skillful and coordinated actions, effective use of maneuver and weapon capabilities, we hold the Bakhmut fortress despite various deadlines and forecasts, – assured the colonel general.

Syrskyi said that he is on the front line, and this makes it possible to effectively implement plans that will have a real result not on the map, but on the battlefield.

– Knowing the enemy and oneself opens the way to victory. Therefore, we are carefully studying its vulnerabilities in order to use our forces as effectively as possible… Today, our main task is to exhaust the enemy’s superior forces and inflict heavy losses on the enemy, – Sirskyі emphasized.

Over the past day, the occupiers shelled Bakhmut 194 times with barrel artillery and rocket salvo systems. 19 clashes took place in this direction, 14 of which were in the city area.

On this part of the front, the enemy lost 86 soldiers killed and 117 wounded.
