It will take 20 years and 14 billion UAH to restore Mariupol – the mayor

The mayor of Mariupol, Donetsk region, Vadym Boychenko, said that it will take about 20 years for the full restoration of the city.

– The issue of restoration, revival of that half-million-strong city that we saw and imagined, a modern, European, Ukrainian city that we built for 7 years, respectively, these two months of full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation, which destroyed 50% of the city, will take 20 years restoration. If we are talking about critical restoration, critical infrastructure, stabilization of the situation, restoration of all communal spheres and areas, it is UAH 14 billion, – said Boychenko.

He noted that the city hall is already working on a plan of priority steps after the liberation of Mariupol.
