The Air Force spoke about the new tactics of Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian targets
The occupiers use new weapons every time during airstrikes and modernize cruise missiles to hit Ukrainian targets.
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon.
– The enemy uses new methods, new tactics, new weapons every time. Even this night drone attack. The enemy first used Shahed attacks during the day, and now uses them at night, because he understands that mobile fire groups cannot destroy them as effectively as during the day.
But, as you can see, we are not standing still either, and the mobile fire groups receive equipment from volunteers and partners that helps destroy the Shaheds even at night, – he said.
Ignat said that Ukraine, like the enemy, is modernizing its weapons, for example, cruise missiles.
– New weapons are gaining greater prospects for application. The same applies to winged aerial bombs, which we also use – JDAM. We also use them, however, we do not have as many of them as we would like, – the spokesman noted.
The Air Force also noted that the enemy is modernizing 500 kg high-explosive aerial bombs, equipping them with wings and GPS devices so as not to enter the Ukrainian air defense zone.
According to Ignat, such a missile will not fly further than 10-15 km, but even this flight distance can cause damage to Ukrainian troops and the population in the front-line areas.
