Occupiers failed to fulfill the Kremlin’s task “to take Donbas by the end of March” – DIU

The Russian occupation army failed to fulfill the Kremlin’s task and capture the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of March.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said this on a TV channel.
Yusov clarified that as part of the “great offensive,” Putin’s soldiers failed to “take Donbas by the end of March.” The occupiers failed the following tasks and deadlines that the dictator set for the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, after being appointed “responsible for the war in Ukraine.”
– Putin’s task for Gerasimov was to occupy Ukrainian Donbas and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions by the end of March. Once again, they failed, – Yusov said.
He reminded that the Russians’ “big offensive” resulted in many occupiers and Russian military equipment being killed on the battlefield.
– Ukraine is currently witnessing the apogee of this campaign, which was called the ‘new Russian great offensive’… So far, none of the announced strategic goals of this shameful war, which the Russians call ‘SVO’, has been achieved and will not be achieved, – the DIU representative emphasized.
Yusov explained that the Russian Federation tried to demoralize Ukrainians and Ukraine’s allies with statements about a “big offensive”.
– This is an attempt by the enemy to demoralize Ukrainian society, as well as our partners and allies: they say there is such an armada here, why should we provide them with more assistance, – he said.
On April 1, British intelligence also reported the failure of the so-called winter offensive of Russian troops in Donbas. According to intelligence, Russian troops have made only minor gains on several frontlines in eastern Ukraine at the cost of tens of thousands of casualties.
And the DIU has recently reported that, despite the failure of the “great offensive,” Russia still has the resources to wage a conventional war in 2023 and possibly in 2024.
