The Security Service of Ukraine has published intercepted telephone conversations of the former abbot of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, Metropolitan Pavlo Lebed of the UOC-MP.

This morning he was served with a notice of suspicion, and now the SBU is conducting searches at the Metropolitan’s residence.

In his telephone conversations, Metropolitan Pavlo rejoiced at the temporary occupation of Kherson. He said that people are happy because there are Russian flags everywhere.

– They used to say there would be a war between America and Russia until the last Ukrainian. There is not much left, – the Metropolitan said in the conversation.

In another conversation, Pavlo Lebed says Russia has “hit” American laboratories in Kyiv and Odesa. And he wants the radioactive dust from those laboratories to fall on the Americans.

Metropolitan Lebed also says that Ukrainians provoke the aggressor themselves.

In other phone conversations, Pavlo Lebed calls the terrorists “bastards.” He also believes there are no Ukrainians in the western regions because “it’s all Poland and Hungary.”

The SSU press service also published photos from the searches of the former abbot of the Cave Monastery.

The photos show expensive furniture, icons, paintings, and decorative elements of the house where the urban lives. Also among the items found is an object that looks like a seal with the coat of arms of the Russian Empire.

Today, the SSU served Metropolitan Pavlo Lebed with a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, and religious beliefs) and Part 1 of Article 436-2 (justification, denial of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
