Zelenskyy imposes sanctions against Bohuslayev, the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Federation Council, and the FSB

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted National Security and Defense Council sanctions against former Motor Sich CEO Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, more than 250 other Russians, and hundreds of Russian companies.

This is stated on the website of the Presidential Office in the decrees of the head of state.

The first document imposes sanctions against 240 people and 155 companies and organizations. The second decree imposes restrictions on 33 individuals and 225 companies.

The sanctions are imposed against the Federation Council, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Security Service, and the Federal Protection Service of the Russian Federation, military-industrial complex enterprises, instrumentation, radio electronics, and cable industries. The sanctions will be in effect for ten years.

According to new SSU data, former Motor Sich JSC president Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, suspected of working for Russia, blocked the delivery of a combat helicopter to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine in April 2022.

Bohuslayev is currently in pre-trial detention. On March 30, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office and extended his detention until May 27.

Bohuslayev was arrested in October 2022 for treason and aiding the aggressor state.
