Reznikov explained the reason for not disclosing the losses of the Armed Forces
It is a conscious policy and a decision of the Ukrainian authorities not to publicize losses among personnel.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said this in an interview with NV.
– We do not demonstrate or say how much and what kind of losses we have. This is a conscious policy, this is a decision made at the level of the General Staff and Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the parliament and the government, – he said.
At the same time, Reznikov believes that the authorities communicate correctly on the topics of motivation and understanding of danger.
He noted that during the war it is important to maintain a balance between positive and negative news.
According to Reznikov, constant bad news destroys the morale and internal stability of people, thus destroying the stability of the defense.
– In order to win, this sense of unity of society is very important, and the enemy tries to destroy it first of all. This belief has already saved us, because there was a time when even our partners did not believe in us, they believed that in 72 hours Kyiv would fall, the government and the president would flee, the parliament would flee, and in three weeks the whole country would be occupied, – he added.
Based on this, all Ukrainian media try to give positive news, such as the number of enemy casualties.
