The fiercest battles continue in Bakhmut: the Armed Forces repelled more than 60 attacks in a day – General Staff
During the day, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 60 attacks by Russian invaders in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Maryinka directions.
The fiercest battles are currently taking place for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. On the direction of the same name, the enemy does not stop offensive actions.
In the Lyman direction, the Russians are trying to improve their tactical position. However, the offensive in the Serebryansk forestry area was not successful for the occupiers.
In the Avdiiv direction, the invaders unsuccessfully advanced in the districts of Kamianka, Pershotravnevo and Nevelsky of the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the Maryinka and Pobeda districts of the Donetsk region.
At the moment, the occupiers are resorting to defense in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.
It should be noted that on April 20, Ukrainian pilots, rocket launchers, and gunners also worked well.
Aviation of the Defense Forces made six strikes on areas where the occupiers were concentrated during the day.
Meanwhile, units of rocket troops and artillery hit five Russian control points during the day.
