Russians bring criminals to the occupied territories to intimidate Ukrainians – Malyar

To provoke and intimidate the local population, Russians bring controlled criminals to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar.
It is noted that in this way, the occupiers deliberately provoke an increase in the number of cases of acute conflicts in public places, which escalate into brutal beatings of citizens who disagree with the Russian occupation regime.
Occupation investigative bodies make decisions in the framework of conflict investigations exclusively in favor of pro-Russian provocateurs.
According to Malyar, most of the mass brawls in the village of Strilkove, Kherson region, as a result of which citizens sustained significant injuries, were classified by “investigators” as not constituting a crime, and the perpetrators of the Russian provocateurs cannot be brought to justice.
The Deputy Minister added that Russia often uses criminals for political purposes. In particular, in 2014-2015, the Russians brought their “thieves in law” to Ukraine to undermine and destabilize the situation.
– In an unstable internal situation, it is easier for Russians to realize their criminal intentions. So, if they are bringing their criminals to the temporarily occupied territories, it means that things are not so simple for them there. They have to shake and intimidate to integrate the “Russian world,” she emphasizes.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in four settlements of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, Russian invaders are conducting massive searches of people’s homes.
