After the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, a 100 km demilitarized zone should be created – Budanov

The issue of ending the war is the creation of a 100-kilometer demilitarized zone between Russia and Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with ISLND TV .
He was asked about the formation of a 100 km demilitarized zone between Russia and Ukraine.
– This, in my opinion, is an absolutely correct distance. There is much debate as to what it should be. A zone of 100 km is a zone from which damage by conventional means is impossible. Everything that is not operational-tactical level will be impossible. And a quick approach, a rush to the borders will also be impossible, – he said.
When asked whether Ukraine should implement this, or whether the demilitarized zone should be formed with the help of, in particular, the international community, Budanov replied that Russia would probably not agree to do it with the help of a UN peacekeeping mission, as it still has veto power in the Security Council.
– This should be our business, exclusively ours. And this is the question of the end of the war. I believe that we should achieve this, this is the goal, – he said.
The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense believes that for the Russian authorities, if they do not intend to attack in the future, this will not be a problem.
