Defense forces advanced in the East and in the South – Malіar
The offensive operation of the Defense Forces continues in the Melitopol, Berdyansk and Bakhmut directions. Ukrainian defenders are successful.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malіar.
- South
In the direction of Rivnopil – Volodyne, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are successful, they are currently entrenching themselves on the achieved lines and inflicting serious losses on the enemy. In fact, the offensive potential of the enemy is bled to death, destroying equipment, warehouses, control points and personnel.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Melitopol areas, the Ukrainian military continues to destroy the occupiers. At the same time, the Russian Federation is pulling up all its reserves for defense, even a marine brigade that at one time fled from Kherson.
There is an advance of 1300 m in the Berdyansk direction.
- East
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops intercepted the operational initiative. The enemy is trying to hold the occupied positions, carries out counterattacks, but gradually retreats after suffering losses.
In the direction of Klishchiivka, the Armed Forces advanced 1,200 m, in the direction of Kurdyumivka – 1,500 m.
– The fight continues on the flanks of the city. Ours are successful. Now they are being established at the liberated borders, – added Maliar.
According to her, in general, it is hot again in the Bakhmut direction, fierce battles are ongoing. The enemy pulls up reserves there and clings to Bakhmut with all its might.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukraine has everything necessary for a successful counteroffensive.
