Following the NATO summit in Vilnius, there are small but important steps forward in protecting Ukraine’s skies, in particular, with regard to Patriot systems.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference.

He stressed that the two-day NATO summit in Vilnius had brought Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia closer.

– “There are small steps forward. I will not talk about the number of Patriots, but it is important that this decision has been made. The second story is about armoured vehicles. There are other very important decisions. I would like to see a breakthrough in artillery. We are discussing it, and there is a positive trend. However, there are no concrete decisions yet. It takes time. Powerful weapons always bring victory on the battlefield closer,” the President said.

Zelenskyy also said that the most important results for Ukraine were security guarantees from the bloc’s member states, which will be ratified in the parliaments of the partner countries.
