The ISW confirmed the advancement of the Defense Force in two directions
On August 31, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continued counteroffensive operations near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region, and advanced on both fronts, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports.
In particular, as analysts note, the Armed Forces of Ukraine achieved an uncertain success in the direction of Novodanilivka-Novoprokopivka (5-13 km south of Orikhiv) in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region and in the direction of Bakhmut.
– Russian troops continued offensive operations on the Kupyansk-Svatov-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, on the Avdiivka-Donetsk line, and also unsuccessfully counterattacked on the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions and in the west of Zaporizhzhia on August 31, – the summary says.
