The Head of Naftogaz explained how the plan to accumulate gas in storage facilities was fulfilled ahead of schedule
Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said that on September 19, the volume of natural gas in storage facilities reached a record 14.7 billion cubic meters.
– Naftogaz Group has fulfilled the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to prepare for the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024 ahead of schedule – to accumulate this volume by November 1 to get through the heating season. We continue to increase gas production and injection into the UGS facilities,” the Naftogaz CEO wrote on Facebook.
According to Chernyshov, Naftogaz Group demonstrates the highest drilling rates over the past 15 years.
In 2023, the company launched 54 new wells, increasing daily production in the country to 52.7 million cubic meters of gas per day.
– Naftogaz Group remains a reliable partner in the gas market. Our vision is efficient and effective management. Our ambition is to achieve more. Our goal is to protect the interests of the state and guarantee the fulfillment of obligations to our partners,” emphasized Chernyshov.
