The situation is difficult, but elections in Ukraine can be held during the war – Zelenskyy

The situation with holding elections in Ukraine during the war is “complicated,” but if the Verkhovna Rada makes the necessary changes to the legislation and guarantees security for voters, they will be organized.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the Italian channel Sky TG24.
The head of state noted that “the situation is difficult,” but the elections can take place “if the parliament manages to solve all the problems of ensuring access to voting.”
– “It is important to organize elections in a safe way for people who have to vote without being attacked (by the Russian army – Ed.). We have this task, so if our country succeeds in amending the laws, elections will be held in Ukraine,” he said.
