Avdiivka, the South and Kharkiv region: Zelenskyy announces where the fiercest battles are on the frontline
Particular attention is being paid to the frontline in Kharkiv region, southern Ukraine, and Donetsk region, in particular, due to fierce fighting near Avdiivka.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address on October 12. The head of state says he is grateful to every soldier and unit for their steadfastness in defending the country.
The President noted that the meeting had discussed, among other things, how to provide Ukrainian soldiers with more of their own armed capabilities.
He thanked every leader and state that helps Ukraine with weapons, equipment, and shells.
He claims that yesterday’s Ramstein meeting helped a lot. But the basic course of the state is its own production, it has its own weapons, equipment, and shells for all positions that are needed for the Defense Forces.
Zelenskyy noted that everything is needed, from missiles and drones to armored vehicles and shells of the right calibers.
The Ministry of Strategic Industries has already presented reports to the president in several areas: armor, missiles, and anti-tank missiles. The Cabinet heard a report from the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation on electronic warfare.
Zelenskyy noted that the government is developing a comprehensive program in all such areas with clear deadlines and volumes.
Another urgent task is to digitize the entire accounting of supplies to the Defense Forces. Digitalization will give us a clear understanding of how our soldiers are being supplied, where the deficits are and how they are being filled.
– In particular, so that we can show each of our partners information about each delivered unit of weapons as quickly as possible. And so that the reports in Kyiv do not differ from the real facts on the front line,” the President emphasized.
“The meeting also heard a report from the Foreign Intelligence Service on the situation around Israel and the Middle East in general.
– We monitor all information and maintain contacts with partners to prevent the spread of destabilization. We clearly understand that the only one interested in the worst-case scenario is our enemy. I am grateful to everyone who is working to ensure that the Middle East region does not explode, but also that terrorists are held accountable for what they have done against Israel – against children, women, and ordinary people.
According to the President, it is extremely important for everyone in the world, even for those who do not yet understand it, that terrorists always be held accountable for the evil they have done.
