Russia’s Black Sea Fleet flees from Crimea to Novorossiysk and occupied territory of Georgia – GUR
Russian occupants have moved some ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to Novorossiysk after a series of strikes and special operations by the Defense Forces.
This was confirmed by Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview with Apostrophe TV.
However, the port there is small and cannot accommodate all the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Therefore, Moscow decided to use the occupied territories of Georgia.
– Active work is underway in the city of Ochamchire, Abkhazia – the Russians have dredged there, reconstructed port infrastructure in some places, in order to ensure the basing of warships there. But again, it will be a small place,” the GUR representative said.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s task regarding Crimea remains unchanged – it is the complete de-occupation of the peninsula.
According to him, this requires the destruction of the occupation group that is there. The primary targets for Ukraine remain the missile-carrying ships.
– In order to neutralize Russia’s activities, it is necessary to destroy warships first. These are the ships that carry Kalibr cruise missiles – they are used to strike at our entire territory,” explained Skibitsky.
The GUR representative also said that there is panic among the occupiers, especially when their targets are hit or they suffer losses among the personnel of the Russian Navy. Skibitsky added: they have an understanding that the war has come to the territory of Crimea.
