Russia withdraws two Kalibr carriers: Humeniuk assesses the likelihood of a missile strike from the sea

The occupiers have not attacked Ukraine from the Black Sea for a long time, so the withdrawal of two Kalibr carriers at once is a serious danger.
This was stated by Natalia Gumenyuk, spokesperson for the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, on the air of the United News telethon.
– The withdrawal of two missile-carrying frigates was recorded. This means 16 Kalibr missiles are ready for use. A ship grouping of up to 8 units has been deployed: one in the Sea of Azov, seven continue patrolling in the Black Sea in a conditionally safe area,” she emphasized.
Gumenyuk named two possible reasons why the Russian Federation has put surface missile carriers on duty.
– It can be either a show of force, as the enemy is trying to put pressure on civilian shipping, or a real increase in missile danger. Since there have been no missile strikes using Kalibr for a long time,” she added.
The full-scale war in Ukraine is now in its 607th day.
