No stabilization measures are being taken: Russia is preparing for an offensive in the east – Fito
The Russian occupiers are actively preparing to advance in the eastern direction. The enemy is trying to stop the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with constant assaults and shelling.
This was stated by Volodymyr Fitio, Head of the Public Relations Service of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, speaking to Yana Brenzey, host of the United News telethon.
– We are currently witnessing the enemy actively preparing to attack. We do not observe any actions to stabilize the line by the Russian occupation forces. On the contrary, we observe constant assault actions, constant shelling,” said Fitio.
He noted that the occupiers are once again trying to reach the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, thus gaining minimal victories.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine saw that the occupiers were preparing for an offensive in this area, so they were preparing for it in parallel: fortifying and pulling up reserves.
– “Today, the enemy’s main task is to stop us, to prevent us from moving. We realize this. And we realize that even 100 or 200 meters that we liberate is movement. The enemy does not have time to gain a foothold, to concrete itself, and so it is easier to drive them out of our territory,” he emphasized.

Fito also added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces realize that they are fighting a well-equipped army with a large amount of ammunition.
The day before, Fitio reported that the enemy did not stop attacking in the Kupyansk sector, deploying more equipment. Last week it was mostly infantry.
He explained the increase in the enemy’s use of military equipment by the fact that the weather will soon deteriorate – when the mud starts, the ground will be sticky, so the occupiers will have to rely more on infantry again.
